🚨 BREAD DROP ALERT 🚨

I loaded up and hauled today’s goodies over to the Norene General Store before the Tennessee weather could change its mind.

This week’s lineup:

🤍 Classic Sourdough
🧀 NEW Pimento Cheese Sourdough
🍫 Chocolate Chip Sourdough
🍋 Raspberry Lemon Thumbprints

The thumbprints are buttery, nostalgic little bites of happiness, and that pimento cheese loaf may have officially become my newest obsession.

As always, everything is handcrafted in my little farmhouse kitchen at Three Dog Acre.

Get there quick, because once the locals start circling, it’s every biscuit-loving soul for themselves. 💚

🚨 TONIGHT’S DROP IS STOCKED AT NORENE GENERAL STORE 🚨

The shelves are FULL and the kitchen tornado has finally settled…mostly. 😮‍💨

Fresh sourdough is officially headed into your weekend including:
🥖 Traditional
🌶️ Jalapeño White Cheddar
🧂 Everything But the Bagel
🍫 ONE lone Chocolate Chip Sourdough loaf 👀

AND making its very first appearance…

🧀 FRONT PORCH CHEESE TWISTS 🧀

Y’all…

These are basically cheese straws after they drank espresso and chose violence.

Extra sharp cheddar.
Buttery crunch.
Smoky little kick.
Dangerously snackable.

Honestly, one bite and next thing you know you’re standing over the sink eating six of them like a gremlin…so I’ve heard 😋
They go especially well with some sweet tea!

There is ONLY ONE Chocolate Chip Sourdough loaf tonight, so whoever gets there first wins that battle. 🤠

Go on and come get you some before the shelves get picked over!

All right y’all…the sourdough is STOCKED at the Norene General Store🤎

And somehow it’s not even 5p.m. on a Friday, which feels like a personal achievement at this point.

Fresh loaves are headed to the shelves along with:
🍋 Berry Patch Lemon Crumble Muffins
🍪 Old Fashioned Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
🍫 Cookie boxes are BACK this week
🍒 Cherry Barrel Jam
🫐 Brambly Plum Preserve

And listen…those Berry Patch Lemon Crumble Muffins? Absolutely divine warmed up with a little butter and a hot cup of coffee tomorrow morning. Super moist, packed with fresh fruit, bright lemon, crumb topping… whew. They may not survive the weekend over here.

As promised, we brought oatmeal raisin cookies this week too, so if you grab some, let me know what y’all think because I’m pretty excited about those.

Sourdough has officially been tucked in and is cold proofing overnight in the fridge…all before 9 p.m. tonight. 😮‍💨🥖

There has been an absolute flurry of butter and flour and sugar and sourdough happening around here today.

Earlier this week? A flurry of fruit. 🍒🫐🍑

Tomorrow’s Norene General Store drop is bringing a few new things with it:

(DO NOT sleep on this one 👀)

(Grammy’s favorite 💛)

Happy Tuesday, y’all 🤎

First off, thank y’all SO much for buying the little mini bouquets I made for Mother’s Day. Seeing those sell and knowing they hopefully made some mamas smile on their special day meant a whole lot to me. 🌸

We’ll be making our Friday drop at the Norene General Store with fresh sourdough and the usual goodies on the rack!

AND apparently Mr. B (the man behind Three Dog Acre himself 😂 ) has officially requested homemade oatmeal raisin cookies, so I guess oatmeal raisin cookies are happening this week too.

But I also wanted to ask y’all something…

Have y’all ever had Brambly Plum Jam? ✨

Because GOOD LORD.

This one is loaded with sun-ripened plums, raspberries, and just a touch of vanilla, and the color alone looks like something straight out of a little roadside farmstand dream.

Meanwhile, while this jam was bubbling away, I was over here pitting cherries like my life depended on it thanks to the cherry pitter my Mama got me. 😂🍒

And honestly? She bought it because she loves my Cherry Barrel Jam so much that she wanted me making another batch IMMEDIATELY and apparently got tired of hearing me complain about hand-pitting cherries. 💀

This thing pits SEVEN cherries at one time and I fear it may have changed my life.

Sticky counters.
Purple-stained fingers.
Tiny kitchen chaos.
Wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Y’all already know you need to grab Mom some jam and a sweet treat tomorrow... but the flowers are just the cherry on top. 💐🍒

And apparently my Friday night hobby is now sitting at the kitchen counter with a glass of wine, making tiny flower arrangements like I’m auditioning for Southern Living: Unhinged Edition 🍷😂

Honestly, i could do this all day. but medically and spiritually that probably feels like a bad idea.

Anywhoooo - these adorable little Mother’s Day arrangements will be at the Norene General Store tomorrow while they last.

So if you forgot Mother’s Day was this weekend, first of all...brave of you.

Second of all:
We got you covered. 😂

Go pick up Mom a loaf of sourdough, some jam, a sweet treat and a little bouquet so she knows you at least tried to be thoughtful.

Well WELL WELL…looks like the emotionally hydrated loaves pulled through after all. 😂🍞

I was fully convinced I had created a kitchen full of structurally questionable bread because I got a little too confident with the hydration (read: too much water in the dough).

BUT THEN—

The crumb opened up beautifully.
The texture is insanely soft.
The cheddar chive? Ridiculous.
The strawberry swirl? Honestly offensive how good it tastes.

So apparently what we experienced yesterday was not failure…

✨ it was artisanal character development ✨

Moral of the story:
sometimes the dough looks chaotic, the baker spirals a little, and then somehow it still turns into incredible bread.

Carter stays undefeated.
