To Our Loyal Facebook Customers – THANK YOU!
It all began………February 1979……..the sweetest thing came to Wausau, WI. The grand opening of Michael’s Candy in the First American Center…. just in time for Valentine’s Day, 3 years later relocating to Washington Square as its’ very first tenant in 1982. My but the changes we have experienced between then & now! The one thing that remained constant is… what began as a family owned and operated business 47 years ago, has remained a family owned & operated business each and every day since. It seems only fitting now that the time has come……Valentine’s Day will once again be significant as the last holiday for Michael’s Candy.
Our family has done a great deal of soul searching for the last couple of years and we have chosen the weeks following Valentine’s Day 2026 to be our time to cease operations and begin the next chapter. Many will ask ‘why’……….the reasons are indeed many , some professional, others personal…. at the end of the day….we ask that you respect our answer to that question to be simply ‘it is time’.
PK Creations was born in 2002, incorporating Michael’s Candy into our name, remaining family owned & operated while bringing on other lines of business to our mix. We are one family and as one family……PK Creations will also cease food operations in the weeks following Valentine’s Day 2026. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
It has truly been an adventure of a lifetime, and we cannot express the degree of privilege and honor we feel to have been a partner with you and been entrusted to assist with all your special times, special days or whenever your tummy desired us to provide it with yum.
Thank you hardly expresses our gratitude but as we answered the question of why with a simple ‘it is time’ we too sign off with a simple ‘thank you’!
