We haven’t even made it to November, but we’re starting the holidays a little early over here! Hartzler’s Eggnog is back in the cooler in both the small bottles and quarts. :)

Once the weather starts cooling down and we get close to the holiday season, I start craving my mom’s zucchini bread. The smell of it baking takes me right back to growing up! Stop by Simple Roots for all the ingredients (except the zucchini!) and save this one for the next time you’re in the mood to bake something homemade.

Zucchini Bread
2 cups of sugar • 3 cups of flour • 1 tsp. of salt • 1/4 tsp. of baking powder • 2 tsp. of baking soda • 1 tsp. of cinnamon • 3 eggs, beaten • 1 cup of vegetable oil • 1½ tsp. of vanilla • 2 cups of grated zucchini

Beat the liquid ingredients first and then add the dry ingredients after. Pour into two grease loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 45-55 minutes.

Yoder’s newest cookies are our sample this week - and they’re one of my personal favorites! They remind me of the ones my grandma made and they’re hard to describe because they’re not your normal sugar cookie. They’re a little bit more cakey than you’d expect, but in the best way.
