Gray Fox Farms - Organically grown products We follow accepted USDA National Organic Practices standards to produce nutrient dense delicious vegetables without synthetic chemicals. Gray Fox Farms was a certified organic producer inspected and certified by The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Associaton (OEFFA) from 2019 through July 2023. The cost to be certified quadrupled and it simply became too costly to continue with certification. Even though we have dropped the official certification, we still continue to follow all the standards to ensure that all organic practices required by the National Organic Program (NOP) are being met. We just can't use the USDA Organic logo anymore and identify as being certified. We have been one of the few actual certified organic vendors on Market Wagon We are pleased to be providing organically grown produce and plants. Our produce includes delicious super sweet Sun Gold cherry tomatoes, yellow heirloom and red slicing tomatoes, potatoes, poblano peppers, shish*to peppers, sweet banana peppers, lettuce, arugula, kale, chard, green beans, parsley, basil, squash, garlic, and maple syrup to Market Wagon. Our organic plants include sun gold, yellow, and red slicing tomatoes, peppers, basil, parsley, zucchini, yellow, and butternut squash, sunflowers, zinnias, marigolds and other flowers. We are small local mom and pop farmers growing only tasty and healthy organic produce following USDA organic guidelines. We acquired a 10 acre farm in Batavia Ohio in 2011 specifically to grow organic produce for ourselves. Given the space we have available, we decided to share with others. We now have a high tunnel which allows us to extend our season into the fall and winter with greens and cold weather crops and to get an earlier start in the spring. John spent his first 10 years on a family farm in southeastern Ohio. He did not expect to have his own farm 50 years later. He enjoys being outdoors, seeing things grow, and being able to provide healthy food for his family and others. He especially enjoys when his grandchildren visit and help and learn about nature. The sun gold cherry tomatoes are John’s favorite snack when he is working in the garden. Gray Fox Farms is located at 3620 State Route 222 in Batavia – about 1 mile north of the entrance to the East Fork dam. Please stop in and say hello if you are in the area.
