Ridgewood General Store Friends! Here is the post for our store's Online Auction. In this post you will find the link to view and bid on our auction items. We will be having an Auction Preview on Monday, January 22nd from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. I strongly encourage you attend to view all of the 950+ lots up for sale. Greetings Ridgewood General Store Friends and Family! Here is a teaser of what's going to start next week! The time has come to liquidate everything from the store. In addition, Sue and I have also decided to downsize some of our personal belongings as well. With over 950 lots, there is something for everyone in this Online only auction. I will be posting again once this Online auction goes live on Tuesday, January 16th through our Great Friends at Cronebaugh Auction Service. I grew up in a rural area of Northern Union County near the town of Richwood, Ohio where my family operated a dairy, beef and grain operation.
As a graduate of North Union High I enjoyed playing tuba and trumpet in the band, basketball, or immersing myself in all FFA activity my Agriculture Teachers could throw my direction.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the Ohio State University to teach Agricultural Education. While at OSU, I was a member of the Varsity Pistol Team, Vice President of Delta Theta Sigma Agricultural Fraternity, and received the President's Leadership Citation from University President Dr. E. Gordon Gee.
My teaching career led me to Ridgewood High School where I taught Agricultural Education. I attained my Master' Degree in Educational Leadership from Ohio University. I served in various roles in educational leadership including Barnesville High School Principal and Principal of Buckeye Career Center.
My wife Sue and I reside in eastern Coshocton County where we are the former owners of the Ridgewood General Store in West Lafayette. Sue is an Agricultural Education instructor and FFA advisor at Ridgewood High School. We've enjoyed raising turkeys and chickens over the years on our small hobby farm in Fresno while our son Hayden was growing up. Hayden now owns his own business in West Lafayette called the Fix on Main where he focuses on repairing lawn, garden and landscaping equipment.
Auctions have always been a hobby to our family, and we've spent many a day attending auctions as a family looking for those hidden treasures. When Steve offered me the opportunity to become part of the Cronebaugh Auction team, I was excited about the chance to turn a hobby into a practice. I look forward to utilizing my life skills and applying them to this honorable profession. I will be taking the lead for the online auctions and attending Auctioneer school in early 2024.
