Finally on our shelves — Yaya’s EVOO 🇬🇷

There’s something really special about getting to put another Greek woman’s product on our shelves.

Yaya’s EVOO was created by a local Greek mom who took her connection to Greece, her love of good food, and the importance of knowing what we feed our families — and turned it into her own olive oil brand.

Her extra virgin olive oil comes from Sparta, Greece, is cold pressed, and is packaged to protect the oil from light — all the little details she cares about because this isn’t just a product to her. It’s part of how she cooks, how she feeds her family, and how she stays connected to her Greek roots.

And somewhere along the way, between kids’ schedules, mom life and our mutual obsession with Greek food, our paths crossed. 😂

A lot of you already know and follow her, which makes us even more excited to finally say:

Yaya’s EVOO is officially at Greek International Food Market. 🤍🇬🇷

There is something pretty amazing about women supporting women, Greek businesses supporting Greek businesses, and watching the next generation turn our heritage into something of their own.

So proud to have her on our shelves.

It’s not often that we get to bring you products from a small Greek island like Chios—and these traditional spoon sweets are something truly special.

Korakis-Marinos has been producing sweets on Chios since 1937, using traditional family recipes and carefully selected fruit. Now in its third generation, the family continues to oversee every stage—from fresh fruit to preparation, packaging and storage.

Their incredible range includes familiar favorites like cherry, sour cherry, fig, grape and quince, along with distinctly Greek flavors such as bergamot, bitter orange, rose petals, lemon blossoms, pistachio and walnut—even baby eggplant, olive and tomato!

Traditionally, a spoon sweet was offered to guests alongside Greek coffee and a cold glass of water. Today, enjoy them straight from the jar, spooned over Greek yogurt or ice cream, as a cheesecake topping or even incorporated into a sauce.

A beautiful taste of Chios and one of Greece’s sweetest traditions—now available at the Greek International Food Market. 🇬🇷

What are we making with all this Misko? 🇬🇷

One of our favorites: Greek lamb with orzo & feta.

Brown lamb with onion and garlic, then slowly simmer with crushed tomatoes, a little red w**e, cinnamon, oregano, salt and pepper until tender.

Add Misko kritharaki (orzo) and let it cook right in that rich tomato sauce, soaking up all that flavor.

Finish with a generous crumble of Greek feta, fresh parsley and a drizzle of good Greek olive oil.

Simple. Comforting. Very Greek. And even better the next day.

Everything you need is right here: Misko kritharaki, Greek feta, olive oil, oregano and plenty more pantry staples to make it your own.

Who grew up eating this? And more importantly — feta on top or no feta? 👇
