Fourth Week of the Townshend Farmers Market is tomorrow, and I have the list of vendors - but of course, if it changes, I will post tomorrow, too! This photo is, by the way, of the herbs on the banking outside the WRCP kitchen! They were planted several years ago by Maggie, who was a WOOFer at Meadows Bee Farm, and as you can see, they continue to thrive, and get used by our new chef Chris!

The Market starts at 4:30 pm, and last until seven o'clock or so
Everyone is welcome, no matter the age, color, or anything else
And even well-behaved LEASHED dogs are welcome!

The market is held at 6573 Vermont Route 30, in West Townshend, which I have been told is older than Townshend itself! It is located behind the West Townshend Country Store and Post Office, and is above the West River which flows through the valley behind the field!

Market starts at 4:30, and pizza and live music start at 5 p.m. and although market is supposed to stop at 6:30, it tends to keep going past that anyway!

Week Four for Farmers Market is this Friday, June 12! We are excited, but not believing the weather forecast - as it says it might rain a little! Still, aren't these geraniums pretty? They are next to were the musicians play! There are herbs on the bankings near the kitchen, and clover and dandelions in the lawn as well! We are still finding out what vendors will be present at thiks week's market, and I promise I will post the list when I know!

Come to Farmers Market, come
For flowers abundant in the sun
For plants you can buy - tomatoes and more
And flower bouquets prepared and ready
For bread and cookies and dragons and fairies
Tacos and pizza and so many friends
Laughter and music and children racing

The Townshend Farmers Market is located at 6573 Vermont Route 30, behind the West Townshend Country Store and post office, perched above the West River as it flows down in the valley! (If you go into the woods at the back of the grounds, you can catch a glimpse!)

The market is handicapped accessible, and welcomes humans of every age and size and color and more. Even well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome, too!

Week Three of the Townshend Farmers Market will be an exclusive one! If more vendors decide to come, I will update it tomorrow, I promise! So far, the vendors will be:

There will of course be pizza and tacos that start at 5 pm as well, as will the music! Community happens the whole evening anyway, the market is handicapped accessible, welcoming to humans of all ages, sizes and colors, and even well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome!

Week Three approaches! This will be our first June Farmers Market for 2026! Later this week I will post who will be the vendors, when we know for more certain! And if we believe the weather forecast, it will be nearly 80 degrees and not raining on Friday - though as New Englanders we know never to trust a forecast this far out!

Week Two of the Townshend Farmers Market is tomorrow, May 29th! The weather forecast keeps changing its mind about whether or not rain will happen, but as Grandma used to say, "You're not made of sugar, you're not gonna melt! " Come on down to market! The summer season is beginning, even if the calendar doesn't think it starts until June!

Week One was a busy, cheerful, successful one! And they have now changed their mind about the rain they predicted for this Friday, May 29, too! Not that we Vermonters trust a forecast this far out anyway, right?

Yay! This is the week it begins! The Townshend Farmers Market starts this Friday, May 22! And these lettuces from Taft Hill Farm will be on offer, as will so many other kinds of produce, crafts, community and more!

Come to Farmers Market, come
For lettuce and beads and bread and fun
For laughter and music, dragons and elves
Poems and plants, eggs, treats and soaps
Friendship and conversations happen
And we get to note how much the children have grown
Since last season's October market
Puzzles, cookies and community, it has begun
For farm products, crafts, and lots of fun!

Market starts at 4:30 pm, and is at
6573 Vermont Route 30, West Townshend, VT 05359 behind the The West Townshend Country Store and post office!

Pizza and tacos start at 5, and go until 7, as does the live music - this week it is The Buzzards playing!

I will post on Thursday the list of vendors, but we know already that will be there, as well as Native American Two Otters, Wren's Grove and more!
