The Fishery Seafood Market This seasoned seafood market captain has owned several other local seafood markets and also has a lobster pound in Maine.

A retail seafood market that specializes in fresh local fish, lobsters, shellfish, shrimp, as well as a variety of specialty prepared foods that include chowders, bisque's, cakes, stuffies, salads, smoked fish, and much more! Full takeout menu available on Fridays from 12-7pm


Mike Pugliese, a 35 year veteran and local seafood maven took the helm in April 2011 at the Fishery located in Spind Drif

t Village next to WB Cody’s and across the street from Walmart in Westerly, Rhode Island and a just few minutes down the road from Charlestown. Mike was introduced to seafood markets and fishing by his father as a boy and eventually found his way to the docks in New London, CT taking a job as a mate on one of the fishing boats. Having an entrepreneurial spirit he eventually started selling fish, shrimp, clams, scallops and live lobsters himself from his first seafood market, JJ’s Dog House in 1978. Entrepreneurs like Mike are creative people at heart so preparing and creating delicious recipes and items like lobster rolls and stuffed clams among many others is something he enjoys doing and talking with customers about . You’ll really learn a lot about seafood at the Fishery if you ask. Do you know the difference between a Maine lobster and a long Island lobster or a Canadian lobster? Do you know what fish are in season? How long should you steam a lobster for the best flavor? You’ll find the answer to these questions and many more at the Fishery.
