Welcome to Haley’s Honey – A Little About Us
With some new followers here, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. Hi, I’m Haley, the face behind Haley’s Honey.
Our journey began nearly a decade ago, around 2016–2017, when my uncle Brad and my grandfather (Russell) first decided to get bees. What started as a small hobby quickly blossomed into something much more. As I graduated high school and started college, our home became filled—quite literally—with honey. Over the years, our number of hives grew, and we found ourselves overwhelmed by the abundance.
Brad, who lives about an hour and a half away, began exploring ways to sell some of the honey. After a conversation with Papa, I decided to take a leap and start a small business—what is now Haley’s Honey. The goal was simple: help manage the overflow and maybe earn a little extra income. From there, things steadily grew.
While I may be the face of the business, Haley’s Honey is truly a family effort. Russell cares for the bees and handles much of the harvesting. My uncle Brad helps when he can while having his own hives and full time job that keeps him away from home a majority of the time, and over the past year, my brother has stepped in to support Papa—whether it’s catching wild swarms or checking bee boxes when I’m unavailable. As for me, I manage the marketing, assist with the bees, bottle the honey, and label each jar by hand.
The first year was slow as I worked to establish a presence in the community I’ve known my whole life. But in year two, things picked up, especially after participating in a local vendor event in Francisco. That single day nearly sold out my entire season’s supply—and gave me the encouragement I needed to keep going.
Although last year brought a smaller honey harvest and fewer events, I’m excited to return this year with a variety of new, bee-based products. Alongside our signature local raw honey, I’ll be introducing sugar scrubs, healing salves, balms (including beard and dog paw balms), lotion bars, and potentially candles—all made with the same care and quality we put into our honey.
This business wouldn’t exist without the support of our family team—and especially without customers like you. So thank you, from all of us.
Outside of beekeeping, Brad, Papa, and I share a love of fishing—you’ll often find us on a lake somewhere, chasing the next big catch.
Thanks for being part of our story.
