Just to clarify—Gator Town is the name recently given by local officials to this area, now officially recognized as a destination that includes Segnette Landing Harbor Front Restaurant, Ultimate Swamp Adventures, and our beloved Westwego Shrimp Lot
But it’s important to note: the Westwego Shrimp Lot has NOT been rebranded or re named. It remains the same historic open air seafood market it’s been since 1978—built by generations of hardworking local fishing who have poured their hearts and hard work into this place, and by the Grace and will of God, that tradition will continue. By the grace and will of God, it will always be the Westwego Shrimp Lot.
