Update on the two cows that tried to get away.
As persistent as they were from the moment they broke out, they are safely back with the herd. We want to say thank you to the Franklin police department, Ohio township police department, PA state troopers, PA game commission, Amelia b drone and all the individuals who came out to try and wrangle them in. To insure their safety and the safety of the public, they were temporarily tranquilized and loaded on to the trailer. Livestock escaping is not uncommon but a different story in our urban area. This could not have been done without the amazing support of the community and we greatly appreciate it.

Just a quick cow update:

Last night, we triangulated the area where the calves had been moving. They are staying in a wide area but at least we know where. We have assistance with a heat seeking drone and just waiting on the operator to join us. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and shared our story!! We won't quit until they're back home at the farm! Fingers crossed, we have some good news this afternoon! Keep you all posted!! Thank you so much to our amazing community in the north hills!!!!

Has anyone ever wanted to live out their Yellowstone fantasy? Well here is your chance! We had two very stubborn calves break free and go on the run like jailbirds this morning. We tracked and chased near Franklin Park elementary and later they decided to be really bad and try to see Pittsburgh on I279. Well we luckily have them in the woods behind the Franklin Inn. Any volunteers in the morning would be appreciated to try and corral them into the trailer. They are not aggressive at all just very worked up from all the running around. If spotted please call the farm and the information will be passed along. Thank you to our wonderful community!

We have some fresh turkeys and whole and half hams available for your Christmas dinners. If intrested please call the farm at 724-935-2131. We are stocked up with Christmas cookies and our normal selection of bacon, pork, eggs, beef.
