Janette Burkes Jams at Homegrown Acres Homegrown and Homemade Hot Pepper Jelly Which turned into a business of making a variety of Hot Pepper Jellies. Oh!

Homegrown Acres...What started as a family garden with an abundance of Hot Peppers turned into a hobby of making Jalapeno Pepper Jelly. I have never had a green thumb, but found that my love for making the jellies, makes me strive to nurture the plants themselves. Most of my peppers are indeed Homegrown in my own front yard. The ones that I didn't grow my loving friends or family have. I sell them

in half pint jars for $5 per jar as follows:
Hot Banana Pepper (Sweet with a bite)
Green Jalapeno (Hot)
Red Jalapeno (Hotter)
Serrano (Hotter too!)

I also have a small quantity of an Extremely Hot Variety called Birds Eye Pepper Jelly but they are $8 per jar due to the small size and the amount it takes to make a batch of jelly. Also known as Misery in a Mason Jar....not for the faint of heart! One thing you will see me mention is my lizards that have taken to my plants....I love watching these little creatures and keep them around because they help with pest control...yes I post about them too!
