For the month of September, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on 🥳 We’ve been carrying their hot sauce since February, 2025, and their product has become a staple on our shelves.

Hot Hounds Sauce is a sauce that warms the heart, in spice as well as their story. Liat and David have been together for over 10 years and recently had a wonderful addition to their family with their first baby! The origins of their business came from a lifelong love of hot sauce, and their two hound dogs being the mascots. Trooper and Hazy are the hound faces behind their sauce!

The love of experimenting in the kitchen has brought a bounty of great flavors to the mouths of many, but along with creating great sauce, David and Liat love to be outside. They enjoy taking their hounds on adventures on the trails and the rivers.

They love gardening as well, and care a lot about the ingredients that go into their products. Depending on the seasons, they try to use as many locally sourced ingredients from around the valley as possible when making their sauces. So not only is it locally made, but the ingredients are close to home 🫶

They are happy to be expanding the palate and culture of our local area. You can find their products on our shelves all year round. Stop by our store and spice up life!!

‼️STAFF HIGHLIGHT: MIKE‼️

Third Street wouldn’t be the same without our amazing staff. It’s time to shine a spotlight on our General Manager, Mike!!

Mike has 30 years of grocery experience, with half of that in natural foods. His merchandising superpower is making every square foot count! His goal is to keep things fresh and exciting. You can thank Mike for keeping Third Street cool and packing in as many new products as possible! He knows what he’s doing 😎
If you need a hot sauce recommendation or a great BBQ/grill recipe, Mike’s your guy!

When not working, Mike feels most alive in the outdoors. Cold lakes surrounded by mountains is where he aims to be! A nice cold plunge and a local b**r makes his day. And don’t forget spending time with his family and cat!!
