The market is open and our vendors are ready for business!
🤠We have several farms with locally raised meats perfect for the Memorial Day weekend and the start of summer grilling season.

Of course, it’s hard not to be happy when you’re surrounded by good food and good people having a good time.
Get out, meet new people, and make your Saturday mean something all while exploring what our vendors have grown, raised, and made right here in our local community.

We’ve shared that most of our farms are first-generation. You might also be interested to know that many of our farmers also work full-time off-farm jobs like Harden Family Blooms who not only grows beautiful flowers but is also venturing into growing veggies this year.
Farmers like Kari and her family are working early mornings and late nights because they love what they do and they want to share their passion for quality ag products with those around them. We see the bouquets and baskets full of veg, what we don’t always see are the months of labor that precede the payoff.
Keep in mind while we wait for the summer abundance to come that most of the farmers you see at the market are putting in a lot more than they’re getting out of their farms right now. A small purchase or an encouraging word now is worth its weight in gold!

Where is the produce?

While we have had cool-season produce at the market for about the past month, the selection has been limited.
We know that as the weather warms up everyone is excited to find their favorite fresh veggies at the farmers market and trust us, our farmers are hard at work to make that happen.
Most of our farms, like B. Rich & Sons Farms, are run by first generation farmers with limited infrastructure and equipment necessary to getting a jump start on the growing season. What this means is that produce will be coming in a little more slowly than what you might be used to.
We’re asking that those in our community who value local ag (and if you’re here, we assume you do!) please be patient. In the meantime, follow local farm pages to keep up with their progress, support them as you’re able, and make sure to keep your eyes peeled at the market to make sure you don’t miss the vegetables as they become available.
These first generation farms are the future of our community’s local food sources. Don’t count them out!
