"We commend Trent and Rebecca Stimpert, Abby and Hannah for making a difference with food entrepreneurship while honoring farm heritage in rural Kansas. It’s exciting to see that solutions can be found in a pickle."

Trent Stimpert’s parents raised vegetables and opened a business called The Pickle Cottage to market the pickles they produced. Years later, Trent and his wife reopened The Pickle Cottage using the family recipes and more. Their gourmet pickles have been shipped to customers in 38 states.

Labor Day cookouts are just around the corner! Before you start slicing, chopping, and grilling, bring your dull knives to the Market this Saturday and have them professionally sharpened while you shop.

A sharp knife makes food preparation easier, faster, and safer. Drop yours off when you arrive, enjoy the Market, and pick them up before you leave!

Labor Day is on monday. Get your BBQ knives ready by bringing them to the Old Town Farm & Art Market this Saturday. You work hard on your brisket. Sure would be a shame if a dull knife made it look like it went through a wood chipper.

Come for the local shopping. Stay for the conversations. 🤍

One of our favorite things about Saturday mornings is watching complete strangers stop, talk, laugh, and leave feeling more connected than when they arrived.

That is Old Town Farm & Art Market.

There’s something special about this time of year. ☀️🍅🍏🍂

We’re still enjoying the abundance of late summer harvest, with displays full of peak-season produce and grocery staples, while those first hints of fall are starting to creep in.
Cooler mornings are coming. Fall crops are just around the corner. And before long, the colors, flavors, scents, and familiar traditions of a new season will begin showing up around the Market.
But for now, we get the best of both worlds.

Come spend your Saturday morning shopping directly from local farmers and food producers, exploring fine art and handcrafted goods, listening to live music and buskers, and enjoying one of the most abundant times of the Market season.

Saturday | 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM

🍅 Late-summer produce and grocery staples
🎨 Fine art and artisan goods
🎶 Live music and buskers
🌻 More than 100 local businesses to explore

Live music featuring a Market favorite group, Jazz in the Heartland.
From 10:00–12:30, enjoy the lively sounds of New Orleans-style jazz! This band is a true crowd favorite; always earning the most positive reviews at our Info Booth. Their upbeat energy brings smiles to all ages (and might just have you dancing down the aisles).

Summer isn’t finished yet, but fall is waiting just around the corner.
Come enjoy the transition with us.

It is with very heavy hearts that we share that a longtime vendor and friend, Drew Ratzlaff of Old Farmhouse Pie Co., passed away today.

After spending the past several weeks fighting through devastating injuries sustained in a serious automobile accident, Drew’s condition took a turn for the worse yesterday afternoon.

For so many of us, Drew, Amber, and their beautiful daughters are much more than vendors. They are part of the Old Town Farm & Art Market family.

Over the years, Old Farmhouse Pie Co. became a familiar and much-loved part of Saturday mornings in Old Town. Their fried pies brought people to their booth, but it was Drew and Amber themselves who built the relationships, friendships, and memories that made their business such a special part of the Market.

Drew was a friend to us and to so many throughout the Market community. His loss will be felt deeply.

Our hearts are with Amber, their family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved Drew as they face an unimaginable loss.

We know many of you followed Drew’s fight over the past several weeks, prayed for him, asked about him, and hoped alongside his family. Please continue to keep Amber and the entire Ratzlaff family in your thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead.

Rest in peace, Drew. You will be greatly missed, and you will always be part of the OTFAM family.
