We’re kicking off our animal era over here.

Our kids spend most of their summers on the baseball field, but they’ve always loved animals. As a family, we just haven’t had the time to fully jump into the whole 4-H world. We started with a few pigs last summer, and it was a lot of fun! So this past weekend, we brought home a few more piglets, and the kids are all in.

It’s been really special watching the boys show up and care for something that depends on them (and yes… they’re pretty cute too).

Learning to care for something else… that’s a big part of becoming a good farmer.

Math might say 3.14, but on the farm we say pie is always in season!

Village Pie Maker pie’s are so good 🤤 (maybe too easy). They are always our go to. The only pie I make from scratch is pumpkin and that is just obligatory. Anyhoo, Susan carries Village Pie Maker at the produce and garden center in Greeley and she’s open on Saturdays. I’m going for the mixed berry. Have a happy Pi Day!

Our website has been updated, it's so new and clean looking. Hopefully it's user friendly and provides all the necessary information for our guests. We'll put it to the test later this summer. 🌻

It's funny, our old website was designed, published and updated in house. We are the generation who grew up with the internet after all. 💾I remember getting the Gateway 2000, AIM messenger, Limewire, Myspace (that was like creating a website), then Facebook etc. I could make a website and it worked for quite a while. 👩‍💻

Fast forward 16 years of this corn maze life and I'm told it's out dated. The internet used to be something I understood, the past few years it has become "smart" and I guess it's ok to feel lost. Anyway, professionals were hired and the new site looks great. 🙌

My son cut this out of the Fence Post: Ag News. I took it as a reminder to go outside and water my trees! Now I’m reminding you, those plants are dry 🌵

My kids are waiting for snow in hopes of sledding this winter, we’re all just hoping for any moisture for our 2026 crops!
