We’re just ONE WEEK AWAY from opening day, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome everyone back for another amazing season! 🎉

Fresh produce season is here 🍅🥬🍓

The 2026 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program is now accepting applications for income-eligible older adults in Allegheny County! Seniors can receive $25 in vouchers to use at local farmers markets for fresh fruits and vegetables.

✨ New this year:
✔️ Online application option
✔️ Vouchers mailed directly to your home
✔️ More accessible and efficient process for older adults

Voucher distribution begins June 1, 2026 and applications are first come, first served through September 15, 2026.

Eligibility includes:
• Allegheny County resident
• Age 60+ by Dec. 31, 2026
• Meet income guidelines

The Wilkinsburg Thursday Market is looking for volunteers to help make fresh, locally grown produce accessible to everyone in our community. Join us in supporting our pay-what-you-can farm stand by assisting with produce distribution, stand set-up, and welcoming neighbors each week.

Volunteers are needed every Thursday from 4–6 PM from June 18 through October 29 at Harold Young Sr. Parklet.
