Knock on wood but our SNAP reader is back up, just in time for our Saturday market in Goldbug! Remember, the market will match SNAP transactions up to $12.

What’s better than local groceries? Free local groceries, duh!

We’ll be at the Whitley County Cooperative Extension Office from 10am to 1pm August 15 with all your grocery needs and then some!

If you or a farmer you know in Bell, Boyle, Breathitt, Breckinridge, Clay, Clinton, Cumberland, Hardin, Hart, Jackson, Knox, Larue, Laurel, Lee, McCreary, Madison, Mercer, Metcalfe, Nelson, Owsley, Perry, Washington or Whitley counties that has been affected by the ongoing drought situation, please reach out to the USDA thought the link below!

The department will be able to provide emergency loans to agricultural producers recovering from natural disasters.

The FSA will review the loans based on the extent of losses, security available, and repayment ability.
