The WVDA is eliminating the $35 farmers market vendor permit fee as the state’s cottage food industry continues to grow and evolve. This change aligns with the passage of Senate Bill 44 and reflects ongoing efforts to support small food producers, reduce barriers to entry, and expand market opportunities across West Virginia.

Rules are currently being developed to implement the expanded cottage food law, and additional guidance will be shared as it becomes available.

We had a packed house last night at the Kits for Kids class in Delbarton. They are doing lots of community building work and we are there for it. All the kids enjoyed oat flour pancakes and blueberry compote, and make their own take home overnight oats. Thanks to all the parents for helping with this one!

Something we have been wanting to do is offer up a little more education and healthy foods. Starting this week and going through summer we will have a special item every week in the Grab N Go Cooler that will focus on nutrition. It won't be the same as our weekly items BUT it will focus on nourishing your body with what it needs to thrive! This week we have GREEN Superfoods Salad. This chopped salad full of all green fruits and veggies and covered in a creamy avocado based dressing, so good for the body. Each week we will feature a new color and work our way through the rainbow of fruits and veggies we have to offer.

The LaScala Salad, our new superfood series each week kicks off with green super foods, pb balls, lemon truffles and oreo balls from The Ourdoorsman's Mommas Sweet Shoppe, and Raspberry lemonade cookies from Kylies Kookies. All this plus produce, stop in and see us.
