Over the last few weeks, we were collecting donations for Code Blue, a local organization that provides a warm bed and a hot meal for anyone who may need it. Located at First Church in Williamsport, 604 Market St. Code Blue operates January 5-March 27 every night regardless of the temperature.
Anyone who made a donation of any amount got to enter for a chance to win this beautiful handmade Amish quilt, generously donated by our beloved wellness coach, Sandy, and her husband, Bob. Originally belonging to Sandy’s mother in law who had an extensive, unused quilt collection (pictured in photo of Sandy with quilt).
We are so pleased to announce that between our generous customer donations, as well as a donation of our own, we were able to donate a grand total of $750 to Code Blue.
Congratulations to the winner of the quilt! A big thank you to Sandy and Bob for planting the seed for this effort, and a huge thank you to all who donated! You remind us of the good in our community. When times feel hard, always “look for the helpers” they give us all hope.
