🍓🍓The sun has set on the 2026 strawberry season here at Rising Sun Family Farm, and we are officially closed. We thank and praise God for each one of you, our customers -- both new and old, and for the encouraging response we continue to receive from the community. It has been a joy and an honor to provide you with fresh, local strawberries for the last twelve years, as well as to provide a venue where friends and family cross paths and catch up. 😉 These are the blessings that come from small, local businesses and farms, and we encourage you to continue to support other small businesses and farms in your community! If you are still hungry for more fresh Jasper County berries, be sure to stop by Bigard's Strawberry Patch east of Newton.

We’ll keep you posted regarding our upcoming sweet corn and popcorn crops, our Georgia peaches & Florida Citrus, and next year's strawberry crop. Stay tuned, and have a blessed summer!🍓🍓

🍓 One LAST CHANCE for berries!! 🍓

Come help us glean the patch! 😊 We will be OPEN TUESDAY, May 12, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. (or until picked out/rained out), and then we will be closed for the season.

Because it is the end of the season, the berries are much fewer and farther between. Therefore, we will not be able to have pre-picked berries available, and the cost will be reduced to $2.50/quart to pick. We suggest coming early to have your best chance to get your berries. The weather will be beautiful, so bring your ice cream buckets, and see if the neighbors would like some berries, too! We look forward to serving you one last time this season!

🍓 **The season is winding down, and it is no longer peak picking. There are still nice berries, but you will have to go farther down the ridge to fill your flat or bucket.** 🍓

🌧️ More rain throughout Friday night means the patch and berries are WET for Saturday! There will be mud, and there may be gnats, so come prepared! We do have VBS bug spray available for purchase. 🌧️

While we are no longer at the peak picking of the season, there are still several berries!Continued rain on Monday and Tuesday means the patch and the berries are wet again, but there are still good berries to be had! Just spread them out on a dish towel to dry thoroughly before storing them in the fridge (as seen in the picture). We do not anticipate being picked out, but if we are, we will let you know here.

☀️ Please make sure to check our page before heading out, especially if you are driving very far to get to us.

U-PICK PRICES:

🍓 $1 for picking flat to pick into
🍓 Cash, Local Check, and Card payments accepted
☀️ You may also bring picking flats from previous years or ice cream buckets to pick into.
