Westside Farmers Market will showcase Delaware's best fruits and veggies grown by local growers.

On Wednesday, the West Side Farmers Market at Cool Spring Park and the City of Wilmington will celebrate National Park and Recreation Month. The Market will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a free showing of GOAT at dusk, with water ice and popcorn available.

Along with fresh food and local West Side Farmers Market vendors, the event will feature a City water station and Play Streets activities for children and families. Christiana Care and the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services’ Diabetes Prevention and Control Program will also provide health information and resources.

The Market Day includes a Senior Power Hour from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., with transportation for local seniors and $5 for each senior to spend with Market vendors.

After skipping last week due to the heat, the West Side Farmers Market will be coming back tomorrow!

As usual, we’ll have plenty of small businesses and local makers for you to choose from!

And we’ll continue to double your SNAP benefits up to $20 on fresh fruits and veggies. Seniors 60+ receive $5 to spend on any item at the market.

If that’s not enough to entice you, there’s more! The Delaware Division of Small Business will join us tomorrow from 3:30-4:30 PM, and will present about the Delaware Grocery Initiative and the First State Food System Program.

We’ll also have an exciting drum performance tomorrow, so make sure to visit us!

☀️ No shade to the weatherman, but we're staying inside this week. ☀️

This Wednesday's West Side Farmers Market is ❌ CANCELLED ❌ due to the extreme heat. Keeping our vendors, volunteers, and neighbors safe always comes first.

💧 Stay cool and hydrated like our friends Icy and the City Pride De team
🏠 Check on neighbors, especially seniors
🐾 Keep pets inside and paws off hot pavement

Our Juneteenth celebration at the West Side Farmers Market was a great one thanks to all of you. ❤️

Yesterday, Cool Spring Park was full of good food and good people. Thank you to Miss Juneteenth 2026, Lihlo Hollins and her family, and the Delaware Juneteenth Association - DEJA, who brought the spirit of the holiday to the West Side, and made it a day to remember. Thank you also to all our amazing vendors, neighbors, volunteers, and staff who make the market great every single week.
