This is an extremely difficult letter to write, but we must inform you all that there is a major construction project about to begin and the entire block where our store is located will be demolished to make way for residential housing and a parking garage. As a business, this is not a project we can survive. After much consideration, we will be closing our doors permanently on Saturday, September 29th.
Having opened in 1958, it has been an absolute privilege to serve the community for six decades. During our three generations in business we have had the joy of getting to know many of you personally. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your loyal patronage over the years. You are our family and we want to express our regret in the unfortunate timing of this situation. We love all of you and could not have made it through the many ups and downs over the years without you. Your support has been immeasurable to us. In addition to our customers we would like to especially thank all of our employees, past and present for your dedication and hard work. This experience is one that can not be defined or replicated and we are grateful we were able to share it with all of you for the past sixty years. It has been a great ride- thank you all.
