We have 4 extremely broody hens. So because none were getting a successful hatch I gave them a couple of turkey chicks to see if they would adopt them. Well this super broody hen did. Can’t wait to see the surprise when she raises the biggest chicks. Lol

Checking the brooders this morning and unfortunately found out one of our new chicks had died. It’s definitely unfortunate, so I checked each one to make sure it wasn’t an environmental factor, and the rest all look healthy and happy.

On another note Monkey is still turning out to be way more amazing looking that we ever could have expected!

The two that needed help made it and one more decided to come out with some help and made it through the night too. We are pretty excited to have 3 new blond chicks as they seem to be the outliers. And the 3 calico skunk chicks should look pretty amazing too once they start to feather!

3 more hatched and two are half hatched after needing a little assistance. Just hoping the 2 that needed some help make it, it’s up to them now. Now that we have both been able to see all the new chicks it’s y’alls turn. There are some cool ones this time too!! Some missing as they are in the incubator still offering support to the ones that needed help (it actually ups their chances of survival).

11 out of 21 eggs gave hatched so far. 3 or 4 more are starting that hatching process. And there’s another blond chick!!
