Is it cliche to quote American Beauty? YES. Do I care though? No. 😂😂😂

But here we are 🤷🏻‍♀️ because this quote came to mind with the arrival of spring in !! Suddenly everything is exploding with life and color 🪻🌷🌼🌿🌞🦆 after many months of cold, monochrome and darkness. Spring is my favorite season because it reminds us of impermanence and the cycles of life and death.

Going to make cheese after a ONE YEAR HIATUS!

WOW, hard to believe this is actually happening! Today is the culmination of almost 4 years of learning cheese, planning, and building infrastructure. There’s been a lot of stress, a lot of obstacles to overcome, tears of course, but now I’m here!

And the REAL icing on the cake is that I am now partnering with Spring Brook Farm () to purchase raw Jersey cow milk, the same place I got a job as an assistant cheesemaker in 2021 after moving to Vermont. Talk about full circle!! It feels like we are now embarking on Good Hands Creamery v2.0 and I am so thrilled to see what the future holds.

Wish me luck folks and there will be some more Good Hands Creamery cheese on your plate in just a couple months!

Hey y’all! Just a quick check in from over here in America where s**t is falling apart REAL QUICK but also people are fighting back! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸.

Hope you all have been following the coverage both with righteous anger and with awe about how people are helping each other out. Minnesota nice is a real thing and Minnesotans set the bar for all of us.

We should follow the example of Minnesotans and fight back economically ( ) as they did a few weeks ago and did once again today.

Money is the only thing that gets the attention of the powerful in America. ‘s website, resistandunsubscribe.com tells us what companies work with ICE and therefore should lose our consumer dollars. Let’s make these companies feel some heartburn. Let’s make them look hard at the cruelty that is happening and suffer consequences for participating in it.

This website has a list of companies we should resist doing business with. These companies do business with ICE, allowing their tactics and operations to be deployed against peaceful people.

Help us cause these companies pain and to get Congress to take our demands seriously:

✅masks OFF
✅STOP MURDERING PEOPLE FOR EXERCISING THEIR 1ST, 2ND, and 4TH AMENDMENT RIGHTS
✅stop deploying secret, unaccountable, untrained, police
✅stop kidnapping children
✅stop kidnapping people here lawfully
✅stop taking in citizens for questioning because they have brown skin and an accent
✅stop snatching people up from schools, churches, grocery stores
✅stop using children as “bait” to lure parents out of their homes and then arrest them
✅stop smearing the reputations and memories of Renee Good and Alex Pretti
✅ensure a fair midterm election

Please resist and unsubscribe and share this post! ❤️❤️❤️

Sh*tty things happen to nice people, at the worst and darkest and coldest time of the year.

I knew Jenny’s sister who teaches at a preschool in Roswell, GA, before I met Jenny. When I told her sister during a preschool pickup in 2019 that we were thinking of moving to Vermont to start a farm, she was so thrilled and insisted I meet her sister Jenny. Jenny stopped by in her truck one day to look at the colors on my newly painted farmstand, because she wanted one of them for her own project. We both marveled at what a small world it is, how my child attended her sister’s daycare in a suburb of Atlanta once upon a time.

I don’t know Jenny well, but I know her incredible farm () and am so inspired by the description of her family on the GoFundMe. If you are able, please consider donating to this family’s recovery: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-ray-jennys-family-after-the-fire.
