A Message From Bill Johnson, Owner
My family and I moved to Muskogee in 1977. We started with M&P Foods, a small outdated grocery store on Highway 69 south.
Muskogee and God blessed us. Within 10 years we had obtained the largest share of the Muskogee grocery business with our Johnson Foods and Price Mart stores. I have had over 55 years of training and experience at the highest levels of the wholesale and retail grocery industry.
I have served, supported, and volunteered in several capacities within the Muskogee community. My faith has been my compass and hope during difficult struggles of business and spiritual growth.
I chose to expand our efforts to Winfield to address the food desert in eastern Cowley County, and to give the hard working folks in the area a low-price option for groceries. I have a calling on my heart to help others who are struggling, as I did, with the poverty of life and the poverty of Spirit. I want to help restore the American dream for the working poor and those who feel lost and left behind.
