The chickens would like to file a formal complaint for "less than ideal working conditions related to air temperature."

We usually see a little dip in egg production when the weather really starts cranking up. If you want to make sure you still get your weekly eggs, be sure to place your order by texting 903 570-2323.

Eggs are available for scheduled farm pick up between Winona and Gladewater, or for Whitehouse Farmers Market pick up every Saturday 9am to noon. $5/dozen

When I say resellers ruin markets this is what I mean.

This is the comment section from a youtube video about how much it irritates me, as a seller, to see 3rd party sales at farmers markets. What might seem like an innocent way to get ahead of the game is actually the very thing customers hate.

All the clumps of black eyed susans that I have mowed around all spring are blooming now!

The wild flowers were a little whacky this year. The Coriopsis that normally bloom while the pink Primrose are blooming all bloomed later. The Queen Ann's Lace has been exceptionally abundant (as is the poison hemlock 😳). Nothing is completely weird, it's just out of order enough to notice. I think that freeze in late March threw a lot of stuff off this year.

May is a crazy busy month and we find that a lot of folks don't get to cook and enjoy as many of our fresh veggies as they would like. This is a great trick to enjoy squash in a hurry!

Kerby taught me to drive standard. There was one old '79 Ford that I could drive pretty well. I have always struggled with this truck though. I can never remember the shift pattern. I once took off in 3rd gear... with an audience. They yelled that I was in the wrong gear. I hollered "i know!" smiled, and drove away. 🤷‍♀️😆
