Really fun little community event!!

Willow was our top pick, and our friend Ahki took home the Cutest!!!

They got an awesome prize bag from Houndstooth and Pet Food Warehouse!

The day we've all been waiting for is almost here... Best Pooch in the Noosk is this Sunday!

Show off your furbaby in the big event! Your $20 contest entry fee goes to a great cause (For the Love of Dogs VT's rescue work and running our food access programs at the market!) Register at the judges tent between 10-11:45am on Sunday! 🐾 Winners will take home amazing gift baskets 🦴 Your dog can also enjoy a pup playground, and you can even make a free tug toy to take home!

Friends of the market, we need your help!

If you've ever pulled up to the market and parked on the south side of Winooski Falls Way, hopefully you've seen this Farmers Market Parking sign! It outlines that during market time, those spots are not meant for vendors but that before and after market time, those spots are specifically used for vendor loading and unloading.

We love our customers (there wouldn't be a market without you!) and are SO grateful when folks wanna hang out to the end of the market! However, if you plan on sticking around past 2 or heading to another stop downtown after your visit, please consider parking in the garage for free instead. We have a pretty tight loading zone for a growing number of vendors and every spot counts! We use both sides of the street, but especially the south side against the market.

We're keeping cool with fruit fans and eating red currants at POP Club. 🍉 We're talking about Crop Cash & CC Plus with Somali, Maay Maay, Spanish, French, Swahili, Dari, Pashto, and Nepali interpreters. 💬 We're giving our take on the city budget. 💲 We're enjoying tunes from Nell Smith 11am-1pm. 🎵 We're shopping small and supporting local. 💚

🐕 Arf arf! Bark woof arf woof bark!

Translation for all the humans out there: Best Pooch in the Noosk is in just a few weeks on Sunday, July 26th!

Our annual co-fundraiser with For the Love of Dogs Vermont is back at the end of this month, and we are SO ready. Come meet adoptable pups from the rescue, connect with resources for pet owners, shop locally grown & made food and pet supplies, make a tug toy for your pooch or one in need, and maybe even enter the titular contest!

Craig Mitchell will take us through a parade of pups competing for Cutest, Looks Most Like Their Owner, Best Costume, Best Trick, and Worst Breath — judged by Mayor Thomas Renner himself joined by representatives from For the Love of Dogs. The winner of each category will take home special prizes! Register at the judge's tent between 10-11:45am, the contest kicks off at noon.

July brings a lot of exciting updates for food access at the market!

First up: Somali, Maay Maay, Spanish, French, Swahili, Dari, Pashto, and Nepali interpreters are coming to the market this Sunday, July 12th to share information about the Crop Cash & Crop Cash Plus programs!

Next, Crop Cash Plus is back! Use your SNAP benefits at the farmers market and get up to $20 in free coupons for produce and up to $10 in free coupons for groceries. You can spend $20 and walk away with $50! Visit the market info booth for help or more information.

Finally, it's Farm to Family season too! If you already have coupons, bring them to the market and spend them directly with farmers. If you have WIC, you can get coupons from Burlington WIC at the market next Sunday, July 19th! If you do not have WIC but are eligible for coupons, contact Chittenden Community Action (CVOEO) at 802-863-6248 to get your coupons.
