We are saddened to learn that our dear friend, loyal customer, and Virginia high school football legend, Coach Phil Robbins has passed away. Please keep his family in your prayers.

We've lost an icon in Virginia high school football this evening. This man was a players coach, and he instilled important values, and a work ethic in his players second to none. He was my first interview when I got started in sports reporting, it was an interview I will never forget during his first season at Powell Valley.

We at the Mountain 7 Sports Report mourn the loss of coach Phil Robbins. Rest in peace coach, the sidelines will never be the same. Thank you for the memories, commitment to the student athletes, and your sharing of your humor, and faith.

Our prayers are with the Robbins family at this time. Keep them in your prayers.🙏🙏
