We are almost out of corn!

A big thanks to all who stopped by our stand this year, we appreciate you!

We will continue to stock our stand until we run out of corn. We will be closing for the season either tomorrow or Wednesday🌽

Update for August 9th, 10th, and beyond!
Time for watermelon and tomatoes!!!!!!
This weekend we have:
Eggs, chicken, watermelons (seeded and seedless!), tomatoes, green beans, potatoes, carrots, beets, cabbage, eggplant, green peppers, onions, and more.
📍9880 E 500 S Wolcottville, in between South Milford and Stroh, about 10 miles north of Kendallville. We accept cash, check, venmo, and paypal and are open 7 days a week during daylight hours.
Be sure to stop by Dickerson’s Sweet Corn for amazing, fresh bicolor sweet corn. They are on our road but down on the other side of SR 3. $6.00/dozen, cash only!

Growing sweet corn is not easy! We put up three strands of electric fence to discourage the raccoon. They love corn as much as we do!

When you come by to get sweet corn, make sure to visit Soil shepherd for eggs and all your veggie needs. They are located on the east side of SR 3.

Plenty for everyone at our self-serve farmstand!! Today we have eggs, chicken, watermelons, tomatoes (cherries, salad size, big slicers, and canning/sauce types), green beans, beets, red potatoes, cabbage, kohlrabi, zucchini, onions, peppers, and flowers.
Come anytime!
We are located at 9880 E 500 S Wolcottville, in between South Milford and Stroh, about 10 miles north of Kendallville. We accept cash, check, venmo, and paypal at the stand.

During Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, nothing tastes better than some sweet corn strait from the freezer! Now is the best time to grab some corn for freezing.

We are now transitioning into our final planting for the year. We will have at least one more week of corn, don’t miss out!🌽

We are open for business! We will have corn on our stand today, as well as selling some corn in Kendallville in the lot across from Kroger this afternoon in about an hour or so.

Our first planting of corn was ready last Saturday. But the raccoon decided to take it The night before. So we could not open Saturday. The next planting will be ready this weekend. We will be adding a third wire to the fence to hopefully stop them.

Our second planting of sweet corn has been great,but will be done in the next two to three days. When it’s gone we are done for the year. Thanks to everyone that got corn this year.

We are now open! This years crop is disappointing. It was planted May 3rd, one week before the Mother’s Day snow. That set it back. Also the raccoon has somehow got around two strands of electric fence and have taken close to a third of the patch. Bird damage is bad too. They shred the ear end and then bugs get in. We will have corn for this week until sold out. We do have a second planting that will be ready in a couple of weeks.

Our sweet corn is looking great and will be ready around the first week of August. We are growing the same variety of bi color non gmo corn we have had for many years. This year we are selling corn for $5 per dozen. We pick every day for maximum freshness. We will sell out of our stand at 7360 east 500 south wolcottville. And also at the South Milford farmers market on Saturdays from 8am to 12pm.
