No matter how many times we stumble across our peaches in some town far from home, I don’t think the wonder of it will ever wear off. ❤️There’s something pretty special about seeing a peach that started in little in Woodbury, Georgia, and knowing just how many hands, how much hard work, and how many little miracles it took to get it all the way to its final destination.
To think that these little peaches made it through a couple of late freezes ❄️ and a late frost, a spring hailstorm, severe drought, and somehow managed to dodge the birds, bugs, and diseases we work hard to keep at bay…well, it makes its arrival in Northern Virginia feel like a sweet little miracle.
And then there are the hands behind every one of them—the hands that planted and pruned, thinned and protected, picked and packed. 🙏Farming will humble you in a hurry, and it reminds us every season that a beautiful crop doesn’t happen without good people willing to do some mighty hard work.
We are incredibly blessed with a crew of the BEST workers we could ever ask for, and their hands are part of the story of every peach that leaves this farm.
🍑From a tree in Woodbury to a table hundreds of miles away, there are so many pieces to the journey. We’re just awfully grateful to be one of them. 🍑❤️
