Congratulations to our very own Megan!!! We are lucky to have her work at Doodlum’s on her days off from being a hero!!

Join us in celebrating our May , registered nurse Megan Ward of Piedmont Columbus Midtown Emergency Trauma Center.

On her way to work, Megan stopped to help after seeing a woman who needed assistance in a serious car accident. She cared for the patient on scene before first responders arrived, then made it to the hospital ahead of EMS to continue that care until the patient was released.

This is Ward’s second time receiving the First Friday Hero award. She was also recognized in September 2023 for recognizing that a new mother had suffered a stroke, helping her get the appropriate medical treatment.

Piedmont Columbus' First Friday Hero program aims to raise awareness of the contributions of first responders and everyday heroes towards making a positive difference in the Chattahoochee Valley.
