Why farmers markets are one of the most radical things you can do in your community 🌱

Showing up to your local farmers market is one of the most meaningful ways to spend a few hours. Here’s why:

Your dollars stay local📍
Your investment goes directly to the farmer, the baker, the person who woke up at 4 am to be there. No middleman, no corporation, no algorithm.

Ask where your food comes from 🥕
Producers love talking about their practices. You’ll learn more in 5 minutes than any food label will ever tell you.

Look for regenerative & organic growers 🦋
Farming that rebuilds soil health means better food AND a healthier planet. Just ask!

Become a regular 🤝
Vendors remember you. That connection is the whole point of local food systems, outside of the nourishment itself.

Buy the “ugly” produce 🥔
It’s just as delicious, and it could otherwise go to waste.

Buy the flowers 🌷
Support local growers AND treat yourself. Always a win.

Bring a friend 👯
Community is the original sustainable practice.

Farmers markets aren’t just a trend. They’re a reminder of how food system can be connective and nourishing. 🌍

Unpopular opinion: your best vacation memory wasn’t ruined by bad wifi. It was made possible by no wifi. ✈️

We’ve engineered all the friction out of travel. Real-time translation, infinite camera roll, an algorithm (or ads) telling us where to eat before we’ve even seen the menu.

But here’s what neuroscience actually says: friction is how memories form. Effort deepens meaning. Moments that cost your full attention are the ones that stick.

Swipe to see what 1995 travel got right. Then, get inspired to make your next trip more analog with a 4-step practice. 🌴

Tell us in the comments about your favorite travel memory. Bonus points if they’re giving analog. 🫶

Healing rarely announces itself. It happens in the dark, under soil, beneath river surfaces, in the slow return of a butterfly to a forest it hasn’t touched in years. 🦋

Every April 22nd, we pause to focus on how the Earth has quietly recovered and the progress that gives us hope for our future. This year’s list is 26 items long, covering river systems and courtrooms, butterfly sanctuaries and battery grids, ocean waters finally given legal protection and grasslands tended back to life.

We wrote all 26 down. The article is linked in our bio. We hope reading it inspires you as much as it did us. 🌱☺️

And for those who make it to the end: healing is the through line at Echo Market. It’s why we carry what we carry, why we write what we write — and why this summer, we’ll be tending something new. Somewhere west of Woodstock. More soon. 😉

Happy Earth Day from our team: Victoria, Will, Brandi, Paris, Kaitlyn, Devon, and Emily. Thank you for being part of this community and being our inspiration. You are why we are here and continue to pour our hearts into creating this magic every day.

In 2026, going analog is in. Doomscrolling is out. ✨ What are your favorite ways to reset your nervous system sans phone?

Today on the Wellness Edit we highlighted the immense health benefits of more tactile and present interactions. The science of happiness keeps pointing to the same key element: true connection (not the kind measured in notifications). Maybe the solution to our modern maladies is not more optimization and more things… maybe it’s reorienting ourselves towards less saturated attention and reclaiming our precious time.

Tag someone you want to connect with offline and pick one of the activities above! ♥️
