Slated to launch Spring 2026 the Woodville Community Market (WCM) will be a seasonal monthly market hub for small and local producers and makers to offer their goods to th

e community of Woodville, its neighbors & visitors. We're dedicated to ensuring that Woodville has access to high-quality, locally sourced produce. Our market is striving to accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other benefits to assist with making healthy food options more accessible to all members of our community. We anticipate hosting engaging, educational, and supportive programs, as well, each month during the market hours and always on social media.

Good morning everyone!β˜€οΈβ˜€οΈπŸ˜Š

I wanted to start this morning off by announcing that Baked with Faith will be attending Woodville Community Market on September 12 and I am so excited to be able to get out into the community and show what I can do! I plan on having a variety of baked goods and breads available so make sure you mark your calendars that way you aren’t missing out.

Are there any baked goods you’re excited to see available at this upcoming market??

Good afternoon, Community! We've a student in our network who's working towards a PhD in Horticulture at the University of Arkansas. Please help her with data collection by identifying potential risks associated with compost use in tomato farms and gardens for growers in the southeast region. On her behalf, thank you for your voluntary participation.

The message on our last reel didn't receive the engagement that it deserved; so here's the still version:

Pay attention when shopping at Woodville Community Market! On July 18th we offered EIGHT (8) producers with LOCALLY-grown (within 100 miles from the market) produce & plants. We hope the same for the September Farmers Market Most of us grow here in Leon County! Every now and then a vendor may "break our rules" with something purchased wholesale that was grown way out of our locale 😟; we are trying to cracking down. Yet here are a few takeaways for you (the awesome consumer) when shopping from growers at WCM (it should be this way at ALL farmers markets):

- We are offering things that WE worked hard to cultivate for YOU.
- We are at the market ready to have engaging conversations about who we are and what we offer.
- Your grower should NOT be faceless.
- Your grower should be able to discuss the history of what you are buying.
- You deserve produce that is currently in season; research our USDA hardiness zone 9a.

What are your thoughts on PLU's on "locally-grown" produce? Any thoughts on eating in season? How many miles are you okay with your food traveling to you? Do you like seedless produce?
