The Yakima Womens Century Club (WCC) Travel & Leisure department has been re-established in February 2026, by starting “The World on a Plate” in honor of Freya Burgstaller. These monthly meetings provide a unique opportunity to showcase a country/culture through its cuisine while learning about the country/culture without leaving Yakima. The evening’s host will provide their insights into the country/culture. While participants are to look up the country/culture and provide a dish/drink from that country/culture. Allowing attendees to walk away delighted with new friends, great food, and a little new cultural knowledge. Join us on the 3rd Tuesday of the month* from 6-8pm (doors open at 530pm) at WCC (unless otherwise indicated). Space is limited to 36 adults, so reservations are highly recommended. Please reserve your spot by either calling or texting Ann Glover at (509) 834-5008. *We meet September, October, and February through August; we take our break during November-January.
