Uncle Joshy has the role of "fun uncle" covered pretty well so far. Jackson LOVES Josh. Last weekend, he demanded to sit with Joshy in the tractor FIRST before riding with daddy in the combine. This kid LOVES being on the farm!!

This is one of our heifers - we start breeding our red angus around 15 months old, when they have reached sexual maturity. A couple of reasons we like the red angus breed is their calving ease and maternal instincts. This heifer, hopefully now pregnant, represents our operation well: raising our red angus from calf to butcher each generation. This soon-to-be first-time mom was born last year, and will now calve with our Spring calving group, sometime in late March or April.

Picking up orders directly from our warehouse in York, NE is always an option! When you're looking for us, we have a big red roofed shop that holds all our beef freezers. We may be done at Farmer's Markets but farm work is busy year round!! This weekend, we took the oats we harvested and cleaned earlier this summer and mixed them with spring peas, winter peas, radishes, rapeseed, and sunflowers.
