We have another fun week planned for you at the Market! 🥕 We always look forward to spending Friday evenings at the Market in the Meadow, followed by the free Summer Concert Series in downtown Yorktown!

In addition to 55 vendors, this week we have Neutron Bow under our Music Tent and Payne’s Fish and Chips as our featured food truck! Stop by and shop from our local farm, food and artisan vendors, grab dinner, enjoy the talents of local musicians, and visit with friends.

Attendance has been record breaking so far this season, with over 3000 people in attendance last week. Thank you, Yorktown, for loving the Market. We can’t wait to see you on Friday!

Young Entrepreneur Night is always a busy night at the Market. 🥕 This year we have 15 junior vendors who will join us throughout the season. Be sure to come to the Market on Friday and encourage the young people who have small business dreams.

Vendor Scam Awareness

The Yorktown Police Department reminds vendors and residents to be cautious of a recurring scam posted in social media comments.

Scammers often target popular community events by claiming vendor spaces are available and requesting payment through private messages. Before sending money, take a few moments to verify who you are communicating with.

Ask yourself:
• Is this person listed on the organization's website?
• Are they using an official email address that matches the organization's domain?
• Does the registration information appear on the organization's official website or verified social media page?

This type of scam has appeared on events associated with the Town of Yorktown, Yorktown Chamber of Commerce, Yorktown Farm & Artisan Market, Yorktown Luminary Festival, and beyond.

When in doubt, contact the organization directly using the phone number, email address, or website publicly provided by the organization. A few minutes of verification can prevent the loss of money and personal information.
