To educate the public about the importance of local agriculture, heritage, and the historic role which farmers & watermen have played in it. To provide a center for festive activities and a place for families to gather creating a great sense of community, and providing a place to visit with friends and neighbors. To promote Yorktown as an arts destination, to increase awareness of high quality art, and support the regional arts community. Until 12 p.m. today at Riverwalk Landing, weโ€™re honoring the dedicated local farmers who bring home-grown products to the community with a special celebration of National Farmers Market Week! Stop by to shop from your favorite artisans and vendors while you enjoy the music of Phil Poteat. We also have kidsโ€™ crafts, a cooking demonstration by the Virginia Chefs Association, and a floral decorating workshop by the Yorktown Flower Shoppe.
