This Labor Day, we're thinking about the hands behind every tomato, every loaf, every jar of honey on our tables.

The farmers who are up before the sun. The growers who read the sky and the soil. The bakers, the beekeepers, the canners, the ranchers. The families who have worked the same land for generations, and the newcomers who brought seeds and recipes from far away and made the Valley their home.

Food doesn't just show up. Someone planted it, tended it, harvested it, and carried it here. That's labor, and it's some of the most important work there is.

To every vendor who sets up a tent on our block, and to everyone who grows and makes the food that feeds this community: thank you. We see you, and we're grateful.

Happy Labor Day from all of us at the Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market. Rest well today. We'll see you at the next market. 🌱

We absolutley LOVE all of our vendors.
They are the heart and soul of our market, along with our incredible patrons of course 💗

Today, we want to give a shout out to Haystack Farm! They are out at the Canfield Fair and look at the amazing blue ribbons they have won for their beautiful produce!

And how lucky are YOU? You have the opportunity to purchase this produce and support this farm every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at the The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County at 305 Wick Avenue from 4-6:30. We have many other fantastic vendors for your shopping pleasure as well.
