To say we have a lot of emotions is an understatement.

I know this next home base will not allow a garden like I have here but, I do hope to keep everyone following along entertained with a lifestyle that can be healthy, local, and if we can grow at our next home — you bet your bottom we will.

Ready for ceviche, rum cake and conche fritters.

So many bittersweet feelings.

We are in the process of sorting through our things “purging” if you will our entire home for our next destination.

Our thoughts moving here was for it to be a place we call “home” — not our forever house, but we truly love the foothills of the mountains. The seasons— fall in particular is my favorite.

Shortly upon moving here - my husband was told his job was only temporary and not permanent. This put us in a bind with only one income as a SAHM we needed to make some big decisions.

We have rehoused both of our bees and our chickens. This is the last weekend with both and it’s emotional to say the least. Not just for me but the way our little walks to our backyard with her wings flapping and clucking. Making buzzing sounds as we carry her in the living room and hop from couch to couch pretending to collect nectar.

I’m going to miss it all. I promise to her and to all you following to continue our bee and chicken journey in the future. We truly love it.

I hope more of those following give it a go and not to worry. It’s an adventure and the unknown holds us back far too often. Life is short— we know this first hand.
