Our Story

We work tirelessly with drive, passion, and hunger to provide products that delight fans. By allowing them to express themselves through the products we design, source and distribute to feel part of their wider communities and celebrating their identity.

Since February 2011, we have collaborated with sporting brands to develop authentic branded eyewear products.

Fan Frames Limited is based in the United Kingdom in Hull.

The founding Director Mr.Paul Gibson worked inside optical retail for 18 years and had the vision to change how customers connect with eyewear brands and wanted underprivileged children that suffered from a lack of education from simply not being able to see and turn them in to be the sickest kid on the playground.

His gut reaction was that status driven designer brands were already finished as their success would be their demise. If the status is the driving force that converts a sale, then mass consumption destroys exclusivity and the high price tag is then not justified. He saw the whole thing tumbling down.

Throw internet sales, Amazon, eBay, social media and multiple retailers closing down into that mix and customers would increasingly start to seek out brands and products they identify with directly that form part of their lives, work, and escapism. Those are sporting brands and you may now understand his vision over a decade before it happened.

Many of the brands we are proudly associated with formed in the 19th century have travelled the world with ex-patriots through two world wars and through all popular media written, spoken and visual channels for over a century. What was born local clubs for industrial men and women to escape with on a weekend are now worldwide brands that stir emotions from the under 5’s to the centenarians alike. Fan Frames deliver that history and passion on the face of every wearer and leave their friends, family and society with a clear expression of their love, passion and community in a society that is losing its grip on those traditions.
