Le Chantecoq Fromagerie The Singing Rooster emblem on our label is a photo of the memorial erected alongside the waters in memory of the now submerged village.

Chantecoq was the name of a small village in France which sunk beneath the waters of Lac du Der created to even out the ebb and flow of the river Seinne which flows through Paris.
