Our story begins not too long ago…
During the last decade Eben and Jana who lived on a farm near Amersfoort, started to make their own pork ribs. After a few trials and errors, they got it just right. As friends and family visited the farm Eben would dish some ribs on the braai, the word quickly spread about their succulent ribs and soon all their friends and family wanted these ribs. They also supplied some chain restaurants in the nearest towns.
In Jan 2020 they moved from the farm back to the city life. Not long after the coronavirus hit SA and we all were placed under lockdown the 26th of March 2020, Eben, having the entrepreneurial spirit in him, phoned lifetime school friend Cleon and pitched the idea of making pork ribs and selling it to friends and family. They quickly brainstormed and put the famous farm ribs recipe back into production on the 8th of April 2020, manufacturing only 40kg of ribs. The feedback from patrons were outstanding and thus FAF Meats were born. Since the 1st production and only 6 weeks later they have manufactured just over 600kg of their delicious and “farm famous” pork ribs.
