And that’s a wrap.. managed to squeeze in the last selfie with the salads yesterday. A very emotional bittersweet day!

Thank you to all the amazing messages you have sent me and the beautiful conversations I had with clients picking up their orders yesterday 🥹 lump in chest moments 🥰 many of you have really been on a journey with me.

Many of you are asking when is my return. Honestly right now I don’t have the answers. Decision fatigue amoungst many other fatigues have hit me hard. So I’m just going to take some time out before making any decisions.

Subject: Important Announcement: A Pause in Gisele’s Healthy Kitchen from 25th of March.

Hi everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this message. After almost four wonderful years of serving this healthy community, I want to share with you some changes happening at Gisele’s Healthy Kitchen. While it may feel like a goodbye, I see it as a pause, a chance for new adventures. This decision was not made lightly, and I want to take a moment to explain the reasons behind it.

As many you know, in addition to running GHK, I also manage a travel agency. It has always been a huge passion of mine. With the increasing demands of travel, I've decided to take a step back from GHK to focus more on expanding my travel business and, most importantly, indulging my passion for exploration. I have always tried to juggle both to the best of my abilities, but it has reached the point where balancing both ventures has taken a toll on my mental health.

I am incredibly grateful for the support and loyalty you have shown over the years. Many of you have become more than just customers; you've become friends. Your trust and patronage have meant the world to me, and I am truly thankful for the relationships we've built. Tears start to well up as I type this! Your support really has done so much more for me than many of you will ever realise!

Over the next three weeks, we will be open for regular orders until the 25th of March, which will be my last delivery date.

In the weeks to follow, I would love to share the direct details of my farmer who does the wonderful fruit and veg bags, as well as my supplier for the delicious sugar-free treats so you can still continue to support their wonderful small businesses. More details will follow closer to the end of March.

As I focus on my family, health, and the growth of my travel agency, I understand if you choose to unfollow this page. However, I want to emphasise that this pause is not the end. I have so many ideas, however at the moment, I lack the mental capacity to bring them to life. It is my intention to have the opportunity to assist you in the future, in one way or another.

Thank you once again for being an integral part of Gisele’s Healthy Kitchen journey. In the meantime, I look forward to staying in touch and continuing our connection through travel. If you ever need a travel guy, I would love to be your travel Gal at our agency, My Travel Guy.

Ok I’m not sure if it’s a new year thing or a renewed passion, but I have been loving my salads lately more than before! Am I allowed to say I love my own food 😂 😅😅

I always ensure I make my own salads when I make yours, not only because it helps with my own meal prep but also so I can try out combos and taste test the ingredients to see where I can improve with prepping any of the ingredients.

ok this is a mostly non related food post, more a life update post!

Here’s a few things I got up to in my time away: hiked the otter trail, relaxed in the Karoo, lots of exercise, did my first pull up, lots of time with my fur babies, bought out my inner foodie at homespun, acted like a fool at the Breede, spent time with my love, drunk lots of wine and spent time with amazing people 😍

But in between all that, I had a HUGE decision to make!

As many of you know, I also run a travel agency with my husband. Due to the exciting growth of the business, I need to divert more time to . However I more than anything want to ensure I can still provide the quality I strive for at GHK. Therefore I've decided to streamline and refocus on what made GHK successful initially – serving healthy, nutritious salads in a jar.

However, please don't be alarmed – we will still offer cold-pressed juices, the delicious sugar-free snacks you love, quiches, soups and an even wider variety of organic produce and homemade delights.

I understand that this decision may disappoint some of you, as it means no more meals are being offered. Nevertheless, I trust you can appreciate the renewed focus on quality and our commitment to providing you with healthy salads options. There are countless ways to customize your own salad, ensuring that meal prep and healthy eating never have to be boring.

I look forward to fueling you with many healthy snacks, juices and salads in 2024
