The Jolly Market Opportunity creates family orientated market’s that learn towards building community, entrepreneurship and brings together talented people to promotes eco-friendly and natural growing in food production ,services and products! It is to build on that which promotes strong family values and preservation of the earth for our present and future generations! We operate in eco-friendly environments which prefably has a garden for children to play and be exposed to in nature!
There was in July 2019 a first Pop -up shop focussed on Matric ball dresses and clothing and accessories, Healing services, Stress relief with good designer second hand matric ball dresses which will sell between R150 and R350 max (These are still available and you can call 0743023254) there are some wedding outfits as well and second hand shoes and other related products and services.The African Way Coffee shop was marketing their mucuna tea and other african coffees which they serve at the shop in 441 Main Road Observatory next door to the Baobab Accomodation Centre for students. It is owned by a collective of 5 Young people who belong to the June the 16th movement! The venue after hours becomes a hive of activity for poetry readings, music, book launches,african movies & topical movies! There was also Odwa selling his unique african shirts and jackets.There were also other products and services at the POP UP shop. It took place on the 27th July a Saturday at a wonderful venue,The Daily Music SHOW 110 Loop street Cape Town from 11am to 4pm. There was a special concession for the visitors to the Pop Up Shop to stay at the Venue for their Music and Dinner show from 5.30pm at the special rate of R100pp! This includes snacks and 2 glasses of wine or soft drinks! You may bring your own alcohol and the corkage is R30! Lot was learned from this Pop Up shop and parking is a big MUST if in Cape Town during the day, is not viable when people have to pay exhorbitant amounts for parking!
I attended an NNI workshop at Gavin Joachims Bookstore in Maitland facilitated by Adelaide Cupido 28 September 2019 and arranged to organise one at The African Way venue in the African Way Boardroom venue which was well attended and the NNI workshop was facilitated by Adelaide on the 9 November . The next was an Art Exbition by the artist, Selena Nadine Boonzaaier 22nd & 23rd November combined with Poetry reading from the published books “I have Come to Take you Home” & new book ‘’The Vrede Kom Later”and book signing by Diana Ferrus which was launched on the 27th July 2019! Barbara Boswell does the introduction to the book! Diana was joined by Tracey Carmelita Heeger the Saturday 23rd November at The African Way Venue in Observatory. The new book can be ordered from Diana Ferrus so whatsapp her on 082 202 3597 for R150 postage is extra include R100 to be couried overnight!
