Orange Marmalade Jam
Ingredients
• 2 lb oranges
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups water
Instructions
1. Wash and prepare the oranges:
Scrub the oranges clean. Slice them thinly and remove the seeds.
2. Boil the fruit:
In a pot, add the orange slices and water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 40–50 minutes until the peel softens.
3. Add sugar:
Stir in the sugar and continue to cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
4. Cook to jam consistency:
Boil until the mixture thickens and reaches the “jam stage” (220°F / 104°C).
5. Store:
Pour the hot marmalade into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
