The General Store The General Store serves a selection of fresh, healthy dishes each day for breakfast and lunch. We also offer delicious meals for home, and catering.

The General Store is a Kitchen & Grocer located in the Cape Town CBD. Our focus is on fresh, healthy foods prepared daily on site. We serve fresh Rosetta Roastery coffee, a selection of breakfast options, and a lunch menu that consisting of multiple different salad and protein dishes that change daily. Our store shelves are also packed full of provisions for home, all made in our kitchen using the

freshest ingredients. We also offer a catering service for delicious home meals (ordered or picked up daily in store) as well as dinner parties and events. Get in touch or better still, pop in for more details.

Winter is back but that’s not all bad news because it means Friday Suppers are back, too. For anyone new around here, all you need to know is that we’ve got your cosy Friday night dinner plans sorted for the next few months. This year, however, we’ve added the option to order dinners to serve 2, 4 or 6 (and beyond! Just pop us email with any queries!) Get your order in by Tuesday and we’ll take care of the rest.

To kick things off, we’re doing real G-Store winter classic, with Chicken & Mushroom Pie with French Onion Mash (yes, you read right) and a crisp Wintery Salad for balance. Dessert is optional, but advised, and this one is a Warm Brownie Pudding and Vanilla Ice Cream. Swipe for the full menu and ordering details and please reach out if you have any questions.

We do a couple of different quiches every day at The G Store, we have lot’s of combos to choose from so they’re always changing, (always hard to choose, even for us!).

This is one of Colette’s favs: Smoked Salmon, Leek, Crème Fraîche and Dill.
Deliciously indulgent, light, and one of those flavour combinations that just works. 🤤
