This time of year is always a smokey pork type of season.
We thoroughly enjoy Eisbeins. Smoked Shanks.
Served with a Salad, Mash & Sweet Mustard!!

It's a must!!!!!!

Recipe:
Smoked Eisbeins
strong rooibos 500ML

Method:
Pour your strong rooibos in bottom if a over dish. Place eisbeins directly into dish. Cover with Tin Foil.
Place in oven on 150 Degrees for 4 hours
Uncover (make sure is almost falling off bone.)
Place into over on 200 degrees for 30min.
Or until you are satisfied with texture.
(this is not a crispy skin recipe)

Serve and enjoy!!!
