Seven years ago, in February 2016, SQ Creations was started by NiQi and myself. It was born from a need to support ourselves as a family as well as ultimately support NiQi to stay alive; It was also a passion for something we both enjoyed and felt was a gift bestowed to both of us that we could use not only for our benefit but also to bring our Heavenly Father the glory in His provision of our needs at that time.
We grew from making cupcakes to sell at the Botanical Gardens Farmers Market to taking orders for birthdays and special occasions and then went on to catering. With each request our policy was to accept and tackle any challenges as they presented themselves. Many times whilst busy with an order I could be heard quoting 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me', as we worked to finish sometimes 'impossibilities'.
Thank you to those who supported us year on year and now we (I) am closing our doors to baking. That chapter is now complete and looking forward, we have new plans that all in good time will be the start of something new.
