🌱 **ANOTHER GARDEN IN A BUCKET β€” ANOTHER FAMILY GROWING TOWARDS SELF-SUSTAINABILITY!** 🌱

Today, we are proud to celebrate another beautiful **Garden in a Bucket** making its way into the hands of a young mother who is excited to grow her own food and, even more importantly, raise her children with the knowledge and values of **self-sustainable living**. πŸͺ΄β€οΈ

This is what community farming is all about β€” planting seeds that go far beyond the soil. It’s about teaching our children where their food comes from, creating healthier homes, building independence and inspiring families to believe that we **can produce something for ourselves**.

A garden may start with just a bucket, a few plants and some soil, but the possibilities are endless. 🌱

A huge **THANK YOU** to **Food & Trees for Africa** and **Curtis** for helping us make these gardens possible and for believing in the power of communities to grow together. πŸ™πŸ½

Every bucket is another step.
Every seed is another opportunity.
Every family that starts growing is another step towards a more self-sustainable community.

**Join us as we farm together, learn together and grow together β€” towards a stronger, healthier and more self-sustainable community.** 🌍🌱

**It takes the hood to save the hood!** ❀️

🌱 **THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS β€” WE JUST HAVE TO BELIEVE AGAIN!** 🌱

Here at **Food For The Hood Community Farming Project**, we are incredibly proud to present products such as our **Cancer Bush Powder and Tea β€” grown, harvested and processed right here in Eldorado Park!** πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦πŸŒΏ

This is about so much more than one product. It is about **possibility**.

It represents employment opportunities, skills development, local production, community improvement and, most importantly, a step towards building a community that can become more **self-sustainable**.

We know many of us have reached a point where we have almost given up hope of seeing our communities restored. But what if we chose to believe again? What if we stopped focusing only on what is broken and started working together to build what we want to see?

The resources, talent, ideas and potential are already here. Sometimes, we simply need to come together, support one another and take that **first step**. 🀝🏽

This Cancer Bush product is **just one example** of what can be achieved when we grow, process and create within our own community.

And believe us β€” **this is only the beginning.** 🌱

There are endless possibilities waiting to be explored, and we want our community to be part of that journey.

Let’s become more optimistic.
Let’s support local.
Let’s create opportunities.
Let’s restore our communities β€” **together.**

**It takes the hood to save the hood.** ❀️🌱

🌱πŸͺ£ THE FIRST GARDEN IN A BUCKET OUTSIDE ELDORADO PARK! πŸͺ£πŸŒ±
Today marks a very special milestone for Food For The Hood Community Farming Project! ❀️🌱
We are incredibly excited to share that our first Garden in a Bucket has officially been delivered outside of Eldorado Park, making its way to a wonderful resident in Noordgesig who has a special love for plants, gardening and growing.

A massive THANK YOU to Curtis and Food and Trees for Africa for helping us make this possible. πŸ™πŸ½ Your support is helping us take the message of food security, gardening and community empowerment beyond the borders of Eldorado Park.

🌱 Welcome to the Food For The Hood family! 🌱
We are looking forward to walking this journey with you, watching your garden grow, sharing knowledge and celebrating every harvest along the way.

Our vision has always been bigger than one garden or one community. We believe that when ordinary people come together, we can grow food, grow skills, grow hope and ultimately grow stronger communities.
So, Noordgesig, welcome! ❀️

Join in and let us FARM TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY! 🌱🀝🏽
Because food security starts at home, and community change starts with us.

Integrity!

Integrity!

A few years ago, I applied for funding for my business.

Everything looked positive.
The application went well. Green lights. Thumbs up. It looked like the funding was going to happen.

Then came the final meeting with the decision-maker.

During that conversation, it became clear that for the funding to go through, I was expected to personally give something back to the person making the decision.

I walked away.

At the time, we needed the money. Walking away wasn’t easy. But I knew I could never build something I was proud of if the foundation was compromised.

That experience taught me something I still carry today:

What God has for you will never require you to compromise who He has called you to be.

🌱 **FARMING TOGETHER, GROWING TOGETHER!** 🌱

At **Food For The Hood Community Farming Project**, we are incredibly grateful for the impact we are able to make in the homes and gardens of our community β€” and we are especially grateful to **Food & Trees for Africa** for helping make these opportunities possible. 🌿❀️

Today, we want to introduce you to someone very special to us…

Meet **Uncle George, affectionately known as Oom G!** πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€πŸŒΎπŸŒ±

Uncle George is not only a valued community member, but also a very special part of the Food For The Hood family. What many people may not know is that this humble and private gentleman has been quietly preparing **hundreds of seedlings from his own home garden** to support our project.

Oom G may not say much, but when it comes to working with the soil, **he knows his story!** πŸŒ±πŸ’š His knowledge, dedication and willingness to share what he grows from home is exactly what community farming is all about.

We are honoured that we can now give back to Uncle George in a way that can further enhance his own home-gardening experience. Because when one person grows, the whole community has an opportunity to grow with them.

**Oom G, we love you, appreciate you and salute you!** πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ Thank you for every seed, every seedling, every lesson and every quiet contribution you have made.

This is bigger than a garden.

This is about **people empowering people, households growing food, knowledge being shared and communities becoming more self-sufficient.**

🌱 **We are farming together as a community.**
🌱 **One massive farm, built piece by piece.**
🌱 **One seedling at a time.**
🌱 **One household at a time.**

**It takes the hood to save the hood.** ❀️🌍

Take a look at the possibilities presented to us right infront of our eyes and think about the fact that it is only possible when we unite with a common goal.
Eldorado Park has highly skilled laborers in every field needed to completely turn the future into a poverty free Eldorado Park.
It's time for like minded, purpose driven, honest and God fearing people who has been called forba time such as this, to sit around a table and find ways to make all possibilities possible!

Look beyond what you see people!

**A Message to Our Community**

At Food For The Hood Community Farming Project, **honesty and transparency are our greatest currency.**

We've become aware of public statements suggesting that our farming project is currently feeding **1,700 children daily**, distributing **50 vegetable parcels to elderly residents**, **50 vegetable parcels to single-parent households every week**, and supplying vegetables for funerals.

We want to make it clear that **these are goals we are working towardsβ€”not the current reality of our farming project.** When these aspirations are presented as though they are already happening, it creates a false impression that we no longer need the support required to grow.

This is one of the reasons we have chosen to continue independently as a registered NPC, with the best interests of our community at heart.

When misinformation is shared confidently on a public platform, it can unfortunately fuel further rumours within our community about the Food For The Hood team. We remain committed to addressing misinformation with facts, openness, and integrity.

We will not be discouraged or intimidated. We will continue doing what we've always doneβ€”working hard, serving our community honestly, and letting our actions speak louder than words.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in our vision and support our journey.

**Honesty. Transparency. Accountability.**

*"It takes the hood to save the hood."*
