This winter, let us come together as a community to bring warmth, hope and love to those who need it most. ❤️🫶

We Are Our Sisters Keepers together with Food For The Hood Community Farming Project proudly invite you to our Annual Stay Warm In May Day taking place on the 30th of May from 10am – 3pm. 🌱

On the day we will be:
🍲 Cooking and feeding the community
🧥 Distributing preloved clothing items and blankets
☕ Serving tea and coffee
🤝 Bringing people together through community unity and compassion

As the winter season approaches, many families are facing difficult times and together we can help make someone’s winter a little warmer.

If anyone has any preloved clothing items, bedding, blankets, non-perishable foods or anything that could help someone in need, we would greatly appreciate your donations. Donations can be dropped off directly at:

📍 Food For The Hood Community Farming Project

Feel free to drop off during the week or bring it along on the day as we come together to serve one another as a community. 🌍❤️

We are also calling on volunteers who would like to make a difference by helping with feeding, serving tea and coffee or assisting with clothing distribution on the day. Your helping hand can change someone’s life.

A powerful collaboration rooted in health, growth, discipline and community! 🌱⚽

We are proud and excited about the collaboration between Food For The Hood Community Farming Project and Dallas Stars Soccer Club.

Nutrition plays a major role in the performance and development of every individual, especially young athletes. This partnership is about creating a healthier, stronger and more empowered generation through access to fresh organic food and sustainable living education.

At Food For The Hood, we grow 100% organic fresh produce on our farm and make it accessible to the community through our feeding scheme program as well as affordable fresh produce sales. We believe every child deserves access to quality nutrition because healthy bodies create healthy minds — helping our children perform better both in the classroom and on the sports field.

What makes this collaboration even more special is that many of the younger Dallas Stars players between the ages of 8–14 already spend time in our community garden learning about sustainable healthy living, food security and how to start and maintain their own gardens. 🌿

These young athletes now have an even stronger support structure behind them that prioritizes their nutritional readiness, personal growth and future success. Their passion and commitment continue to inspire us to do even better and maintain the highest quality standards when it comes to the produce we grow for our community.

This is more than farming.
This is more than soccer.
This is community unity in action. ❤️

Together we are planting seeds for a healthier future, both on and off the field. 🌱⚽
